Every morning the open pit is filled with hickory wood and the open fire of precious timing and perfection begins.  Boston Butts are slowly cooked for 6 hours rendering a tender, juicy cut of pork.  The ½ chickens and ribs also share the open pit and are prepared with the same expertise that has been perfected since the doors were first opened at the Veterans Parkway location in 1996.

Mike & Ed’s now has two new locations, one on Warm Springs Road and the other at Fort Benning!  Russell Slappey and Johnnie Mason, local owners and operators invite you, your family and friends to come in and enjoy some True Southern hospitality and Southern cuisine.

Dive into the most delicious BBQ ever complimented by Mike & Ed’s variety of homemade sauces choosing from hot, mild or hickory.  Don’t forget about the large selection of sides that are also prepared fresh daily such as Brunswick Stew, Potato Salad, Slaw, Baked Beans and so much more.

Are you looking for someone to cater a special event?  You found it!  Mike & Ed’s has catered many events starting from 10 guest to over 5,000!  They have brought Southern Hospitality to events ranging from the Fort Benning, Georgia area to Pine Mountain, Lake Harding, Lake Martin, Columbus, LaGrange, Newan and other surrounding cities.  No distance is too far when it comes to providing the service and product that you deserve for that special occasion.

Mike and Ed’s will go as far as cooking for your special occasion on site if requested.  Now that is bringing home cooking Home!

We would especially like to welcome all the families transferring from the Fort Knox area and invites you and your families to come in dine at Mike & Ed’s either at our Veterans Parkway, Warm Springs Road or our newest location at Fort Benning, Georgia.
